Boise Brewing

Boise Brewing is a community-owned brewery a block off the BoDo entertainment district downtown, and the building was deliberately designed to host events. Private bookings get one of four spaces depending on group size: a tucked-away mezzanine that holds 20 to 30 for a more intimate dinner-style birthday, a section of the main taproom for 40 to 60 standing, the brewery floor among the stainless steel fermenters for a more industrial 60 to 100 vibe, or a full buyout up to 150-plus.

Reservations include tables, chairs, and access to the in-house A/V for slideshows or playlists. The kitchen handles food directly — pizzas, shared plates, sandwiches — or hosts can bring in outside catering. Outside cake is allowed. Beer is the obvious draw, with a rotating tap list of about a dozen Boise Brewing house beers plus seltzers and wine for non-beer guests. Walking distance to Capitol Boulevard hotels makes this a strong pick for milestone birthdays where out-of-town family is flying in.
