Champs Entertainment Complex

Champs has been the budget-friendly family entertainment center on Lexington's south side for decades and has continued to add attractions while keeping party prices well below the FEC chains. The current lineup includes a wood-floor roller skating rink, a multi-level laser tag arena, an indoor mini golf course, an indoor play structure for younger kids, and an arcade with 42-plus redemption and video games.

Birthday packages are the value play here — typical kid bowling or skating parties run noticeably cheaper than at Main Event or Malibu Jack's, and they include skate rentals, a reserved party table, invitations, and a host. Saturday afternoons are family-skate sessions with disco lighting, which doubles as the natural birthday window. The building shows its age in spots — vinyl seating, fluorescent lighting in places — but the staff are warm, the operations are reliable, and parents tend to leave with the right amount of money still in their wallet.
