Paint the Towne

Paint the Towne is the calm, craft-focused alternative for Wichita kids whose birthday wishlist does not include trampolines and arcade lights. The Rock Road studio (a second location sits on West Central) offers private party booking with two formats: guided canvas painting, where the staff walks the group through a step-by-step painting in about 90 minutes, or self-guided pottery painting where each guest picks a piece — a mug, a unicorn, a cat figurine — and decorates it with acrylic paint that goes home that day or glaze that gets fired in the kiln and picked up a week later.

Pottery parties are non-guided but staff stay involved with brush help and color coaching. The studio handles setup, table covers, brush and paint distribution, and the kiln side of the workflow. Most parties run 10 to 16 guests in a private room. Hosts typically bring cake, snacks, and drinks; the studio provides plates and the painting workspace. Adult paint-and-sip parties run as well — same studio, BYOB friendly with notice. Book two weeks out for weekend afternoon slots.
